Ramadhan: A Muslim Tradition

Ramadhan is a month of fasting. We start fasting at 4:00 am, and broke it at 6:00 pm the time we start eating.

After that we need to go to Mosque to pray the tarawi.

Muslims believe that during Ramadhan days all bad spirits are trapped and cannot descend on earth to destruct believers in their pious works and prayers . Prayers of a true believer of Islam during Ramadhan is guarateed to be granted by ALLAH.
Ramadhan is the month when Holy Qur-an is written. Every muslim is mandated to read the Qur-an twice a year. Fasting during the month of Ramadhan is the Fourth Pillar Of Islam.
Fasting is a form of self-purification. Fasting teaches self-control and patience. It is a of turning to God in sincere worship. The two holidays for muslims are 'Eid Al-Fitr which is celebrated at the end of the Ramadhan and 'Eid Al-Adha which is celebrated at the end of hadjj.
